Arrest in Afghan acid attack

Afghan police have arrested 10 Taliban militants involved in an acid attack this month against 15 girls and teachers walking to school in southern Afghanistan, a provincial governor said Tuesday.
"Several" of the arrested militants have confessed to taking part in the acid attack, said Kandahar Gov. Rahmatullah Raufi. He declined to be more precise.
High-ranking Taliban fighters paid the militants a total of $2,000 to carry out the attack, Raufi said. The attackers came from Pakistan but were Afghan nationals, said Doud Doud, an Interior Ministry official.
The attackers squirted the acid from water bottles onto three groups of students and teachers walking to school in Kandahar city on Nov. 12. Several girls suffered burns to the face and were hospitalized. One teenager couldn't open her eyes days after the attack, which drew condemnation from around the world.
After the investigation is complete, the accused will be tried in open court, said Raufi.
One of the victims, a teacher named Nuskaal who was burned through her burqa, called Tuesday for a harsh punishment for the attackers.

I think they have to stop this becuase people that are inosent get hurt, and they have nothing to do. Students and teachers get hurt,
And they dont do nothing to help them.

THis is a terrifying attack which reminds us once again, our world and environment we live in are still not perfect. In fact countries like in mid Asia is in a horrific chaos and danger.
It is well said that government and countries all around the world should help conquer the terrible terrorism organization called "Talibans" to make their world a better place to live in .

This is a very scary attack and stupidest i have ever herd of. I feel bad for these people who got the acid thrown on them. I wouldn't think anyone would do this and I would expect it would never happen again.

This attack was huge it is unbeliveable that in todays soiciety we still have attacts. Even if it is a third world country and cant afford alot of protection they should still be able to stop these disasters from happeing. Also innocent people shouldn't be dying.

Also the government should have been able to stop this attack so that nobody should die. The taliban has to be stopped, so that our world will be almost at peace.
